JUNIOR CURRICULUM – HISTORY
History Intent
At our school, History should provide children with a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world, stimulating their curiosity and appreciation about the past. Through carefully planned lessons and wider opportunities, children will learn to think critically, ask insightful questions and develop perspective and judgement. Overall, children will then gain an insight to the complexities of people’s lives, the process of change, to respect the diversity of societies, as well as their own identity and the challenges of their time.
